Like all skateboarders, Derrick Cabrera dreams of getting a sponsor one day. He is loaded with talent but he must overcome some major roadblocks before he can make his dream a reality. He is getting pressure from all sides. His parents are unhappy because he is failing out of school. His girlfriend thinks he is a loser. And his best friend has become his main skater rival.However, things really come to a head when Derrick gets arrested and he ends up running away from home.
